The Australian Academy of Wedding and Event Planning offers training and guidance to both new and existing wedding and event planners. Our courses are specialised shorts courses delivered by industry experts who have hands on experience of what is required to be successful within this field.
For those interested in event management, you now have several study options available in Australia. The Academy's courses are designed for those who want a quick start in this field to give them an advantage when seeking entry level roles, those who organise events as only a part of their job, for example a personal or team assistant, or those who wish to concentrate on smaller more social events such as Christmas parties and team conferences.
Our wedding planning course is second to none. Written in Australia for the Australian market, it will touch on everything you need to know to start your own full or part time wedding planning business, join an existing business, or specialise within this area inside a venue.
All of our courses are taught in a practical, hands on way which helps you to understand the fundamentals of planning an event, teaches you to work together as a team, develops your existing skills and puts that knowledge into practice.
We have aligned ourselves with some fantastic industry partners including hotels, conference venues, event management companies and design teams. It is with their help that we are able to bring our courses alive and offer a practical side to what we offer here at The Academy.
At the end of the course you will be invited to join our Network of Wedding and Event Planners as a Novice Consultant. The aim of the Network is to provide a professional body that can help you throughout your journey into the world of wedding and event planning. The network offers an annual conference, professional development workshops, regular social events, business helpline, work placement, internships and mentoring. The Network is there to support you, and give you guidance & advice and keep you up to date on what is happening within the industry itself.
